WWE partners with Snap’s Arcadia for augmented reality experiences
WWE is teaming up with Snapchat, parent company Snap, for their new global creative studio Arcadia.
Snap announced today that Arcadia is its global creative studio to help brands develop advertisements and AR (augmented reality) experiences that can be used on web platforms and application-based AR environments.
Snap partners with brands and creators to engage with Snapchat’s Millennials and Gen Z audiences. They have already partnered with many companies including WWE, Verizon, Shake Shack, and P&G Beauty.
WWE Brand Manager Stephanie McMahon commented on the new partnership and said over-delivery to the WWE fan base has always been important to the business.
âOverdelivery to our fans has always been important to @WWE. Thrilled to be an early partner of @ Snap’s #Arcadia, developing augmented reality experiences for our passionate fans around the world,â he said. she writes.
Snap’s Arcadia will serve WWE, as well as other brands, designers, and agencies, in the following ways:
* Studio of Record: Arcadia will become the official âAR Studio of Recordâ and support all their production, strategy and AR insight needs across all platforms
* Project-based work: Arcadia will adhere to a specific scope of work that aligns with Arcadia’s mission
* Strategic Partner: Arcadia will offer its AR strategy expertise to clients / agencies in the form of workshops, ideas and trend reports to improve their own capabilities
WWE has been experimenting with AR and VR technology for a few years now. New WWE sets that debuted when the company hit the road last summer have used more augmented reality integrations.
