Welcome to the Information Page for #Dark_Shadows on the Undernet.

Our Channel, as is described by it's name, is a chat channel for those interested in the gothic, classic, soap opera, Dark Shadows. Our Channel was first started back on April 20th,1996,  by our then Channel Manager, Barnabas. We have since been managed by the present manager, VictoriaW since 1997.  Victoria joined the channel on Christmas Eve 1996, and has since been a steadfast member and leader.
 

Above VictoriaW is photographed with one of the major stars from the show, Jonathan "Barnabas" Frid. She was able to attend a personal appearance by Mr. Frid, in New York, this past Nov. 1998. Victoria has done a tremendous job with managing the channel. She has made strides in bringing in new DS fans from all over the net to the channel to discuss our favorite show.

Now one might inquire, "how can we get IRC to get to the chats?" The answer is simple. Download one of the many IRC chat programs availble on the web. Connect to the Undernet server, then type in /join #Dark_Shadows.
 

Our regular chat times are:
Tuesdays 11-1 et.
Saturdays 11-?
But these are not the only times we chat about Dark Shadows.  The channel is open 24/7/365.  You can find someone there most any time of day or night, so please, come join us.

Below you will see links leading to other pages within this site.  Two of which are those labeled Ops.  Let me explain what an op is.  An Op is a trusted channel member who makes sure the channel maintains the integrity it was set up with.  Namely, they are there to make sure everyone has a good time, and no one is offended.  You might think of them as peace keeprs, because that is what they attempt to do.
We rarely have any occassions where a disruptor causes problems, but, this is not an idealistic wolrd, so, at times, they must invoke the kick and or ban.  This should not discourage anyone from attending the chats.  Most of what the ops do is make sure everyone has fun!
