Our Mother Earth

Look to Mother Earth for healing
her gentle hands will guide you.
If you'd only listen,
if you'd only learn,
if you'd only take the time
to hear Her call your name.

Look to Father Sky,
His gentle voice is calling
if you are willing to learn the lessons
that He wants to teach you.
If you want to know
how to pray.. Look to Father Sky.

Look to Sister Moon for nurturing
Her eyes are always upon you.
Soft, tender, Mother Eyes.
She is wanting you to watch, and learn
how to love, how to grow,
how to "Be".

Look for lessons in life and be taught
by the birds, the flowers, the trees.
All of nature is right there waiting for you.
They have much to teach you,
if you really want to break free.
If you really want balance
in the four directions of life.

Protect the Earth,
Protect the Creatures on it
Including yourself.
You have worth,
you have dignity,
you have power
Find it .. do it.. be it.

These feathers are in memory of a great man and woman.
My Grandfather and Grandmother.
They were forced to put aside
their heritage, and culture for the
"white man's way".
It was to survive in this world,
to bring up their children and grandchildren
in a peaceful society called the
White Ways.

I believe I can fly...
 

In my dreams, there is always an eagle.
Flying high overhead, waiting until I
am ready to receive the 'gift'.
The coyote/wolf that accompanies me,
waits with me in the circle upon a hill.
May I one day find that hill,
climb it and achieve the gifts
the eagle has to teach me.
Or, perhaps I am learning
as I walk the hill
called life...
 

Someone sent me the Native American Proverbs.
I don't know who to attribute them to,
but, they are all wise, and all very true.
